Simply the Best Time Ever in Sydney
Tina Turner Musical was “Simply the Best “
Trusted Travel had the most magical time going to see The Tina Turner musical. Our trip started in Gadigal Country, with a group of very excited travellers anticipating our next few days together.
Rollin’ into the Theatre Royal – The Tina Turner musical was a rock music spectacular and breathtakingly exciting !!!! From humble beginnings in Nutbush Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. The show revealed the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race. We danced in our seats to her iconic songs like ‘Simply the Best”, “What’s Love Got to Do with It” and “Proud Mary” – all smash-hits. The finale of the production had the whole theatre up standing, dancing and singing – we didn’t want it, to finish.
While in Sydney we also went exploring and were in awe of the beauty of Queen Victoria Building and the Strand arcade. Glorious stained-glass windows and splendid architecture blew us away.
In true Trusted Travel style, we had many yummy meals out, including a meal at Adria Restaurant serving mediterranean at Cockle Bay Wharf overlooking stunning Darling Harbour. Yum yum – we had the best home made pasta. Another favourite meal was at Bankstown Sports Club. Wow – spoilt for choice. We could pick from Italian, Lebanese, Chinese or German. We chose Greenfield Station Bistro – a unique, railway-themed dining experience complete with authentic railway carriages for dining in. The Victorian-era, high arch entrance and priceless collection of railway memorabilia set the mood for a very memorable meal.
To top off, our wonderful time in Sydney, we went to Madame Tussauds and had so much fun. We were rubbing shoulders with the Royal Family and being rock stars with Katy Perry and Harry Styles. Our favourite and new addition to the museum – was our all-time hero – Dylan Alcott!!!
At the end of our trip of sightseeing and enjoying Sydney’s must-see musical, we were sad to say goodbye, but beyond happy that we had made new friends, who we hope to meet again on another Trusted Travel adventure.
