Nestled in the foothills of the Brokenback Mountain Range, the idyllic town of Broke was our home away from home for a few days of carefree life on the farm.
Staying at an operational alpaca farm was a wonderful experience and from the get-go, our travellers were out exploring the farm and hand feeding these beautiful creatures.
Broke is part of the Greater Hunter area, one of the country’s pre-eminent destinations for food and beverages. When out and about, Trusted Travel were lucky enough to sample several cheeses at the Hunter Valley Cheese Company. YUM! A few of our travellers even stepped inside the Tempus Two cellar door to sample some delicious local wines.
As is always the case on Trusted Travel trips, food was an absolute highlight. The Hunter Valley is uniquely placed as a food destination in that you can find trendy cafes catering to the weekend crowd as well as authentic country tucker where the locals dine. Between the lamb cutlets and the poke bowls, we sure ate well!
Our final day in the Hunter was sparkling and sunny. We spent it basking by the pool, swimming, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and playing games like pool and tennis.
It was sad to say goodbye to our new friends, both two-legged and four, but we hope to see you all again and Trusted Travel will definitely be back in the Hunter very soon!
