Our boys weekend got rolling with a game of bowling at the happenin’ Bakehouse Quarter in North Strathfield. We played hard and put our heads together to plan an awesome weekend despite the wild weather mother nature threw at us.
We woke on Saturday feeling warm and cosy, smashed a stack of home-made pancakes for breaky and headed out. We popped in to say “hi” to the folks at the Trusted Travel booth of the NDIS expo at Darling Harbour. It’s always lovely to catch up with like-minded friends who are passionate about disability travel.
After lunch at the Australian Museum, we went to see the largest Lego exhibition ever in Australia. “Over 50 large-scale dinosaurs, props, scenes and activities made from over 6 million bricks leave explorers in awe as they embark on a thrilling journey through Jurassic World.” It was definitely a highlight of the weekend!
After seeing the Jurassic World exhibit, we made our way to the real dinosaurs of the Australian Museum and were particularly impressed by the awesome size of the brachiosaurus.Sunday was the main event! We made our way to Qudos Bank Arena to see the world famous Harlem Globetrotters play against their arch nemesis the Washington Generals. The Globetrotters experience is one like no like. It’s part competitive game, part comedy show and part circus. The skill and basketball wizardry of the players knows no bounds. This is what the weekend was all about and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Sadly Monday was the last day but of course we decided to make the best of it. We checked out early and continued with the dinosaur theme by watching the new Jurassic World movie at the cinema in the comfort of recliner seats.
Thanks to all the Trusted Travellers who made this weekend awesome!
