We started our trip on Friday by meeting friends at Sydney Airport and heading to our new digs at the Ibis Darling Harbour. We to Cockle Bay Wharf where we had lunch. In the afternoon we went over to Circular Quay for a walk and to take in Sydney’s most iconic sights. We went to Sticky’s where we got to watch them make some handmade candy and then took a Ferry back to Darling Harbour where we had dinner and watched some street performers.
On Friday morning, we headed out to Bondi Beach and got to see “Harrison” being filmed for the show. We even got to have some photos with him!
We then went to The Grounds of Alexandria for lunch and got to look at all the beautiful Disney displays.
Saturday night was dinner at Darling Harbour again, where we got to see some more street performers, and Callum, one of our Trusted Travellers, got chosen to participate in one of the performers acts. As it was still Chinese New Year, the areas around Darling Harbour were a hive of activity. We sat around the Harbour to watch the water jet pack performance as well as some fireworks in the evening.
Sunday was Home and Away day! We boarded the tour bus where we got to meet and see Rose! We headed to the beach to get some photos of us with her then went to Palm Beach – the real life Summer Bay! We had lunch at the Summer Bay Kiosk, got to snap more photos and purchase some Summer Bay/Home and Away merch. We then drove to some of the houses that are in the show and had pictures outside them.
Sunday night’s dinner was just around the corner STAR Casino. After our meal we headed back into Darling Harbour to see more street performances and fireworks.
Monday was a morning spent leisurely strolling around the Chinese Gardens. We then headed to Coogee beach before having to say our goodbyes at Sydney Airport. It was an action packed 4 days with so many things to see and do, and is a trip we will remember for a life time.
