We greeted our Beauty and the Beast fans at Trusted Travels HQ and hit the road in our trusty bus, Trippy. First stop! We fuelled our bellies at The Grounds of Alexandra for a magical lunch before stepping out into what actually felt like an enchanted candy land forest, with life size cupcakes, ice cream cones and candy.
What more could we have hoped for to begin our musical theatre Disney adventure!? Our group got settled into our hotel before heading out to World Square in the evening. Tonight we all enjoyed a succulent Chinese meal accompanied by dancing in the city streets with wonderful live music played by buskers in the city. Lots of fun had by all!
Today was the day we had been waiting for! We wandered around Paddy’s Markets and checked out some of the factory outlets, had lunch before our matinee show. Beauty and the Beast!! A tale as old as time and as exhilarating as ever!! We went back in time re-living our childhood memories, singing along to our favourite Disney songs played by a live orchestra. The costumes, props and special effects were amazing!!! Belle begged and admitted her love for the Beast just in time before the last petal falls from the enchanted rose, breaking the spell, returning the master to his true human self…. And they all lived happily ever after….
That night we went to Macchiato wood fire pizza for a delicious Italian dinner. The night was not over!! We got our dancing shoes on, enjoying live street music and dancing the night away. We listened to a band at Scruffy Murphys Irish pub before heading back to our hotel.
We enjoyed a buffet breakfast for our last morning together, packed our bags and ventured to Darling Harbour for Madame Tussauds to get some snap shots and hang out with some celebrities. We found a nice cafe for lunch before heading to the Powerhouse Museum before it was back in Trippy for a trip home to our loved ones. We had so many stories to share with them all about our amazing holiday.
