Our Carnival cruise began in the most beautiful harbour of the World, Sydney Cove, with its stunning backdrop of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
After farewelling our loved ones, we set sail for a special introductory lunch to get to know our new cruise mates only to finish off with a night filled of dancing and laughs.
The next few days’ were spent relaxing on the pool deck, and then we woke up to the stunning scenery of Hobart’s Constitution Dock, nestled between Mount Wellington and the sparkling estuary of the River Derwent.
Once we docked, we hopped off the cruise ship and jumped on the iconic Red Double Decker bus, which offered a 360-degree view of the city. Highlights of these included Salamanca Place, Battery Point, the Botanical Gardens and the iconic Cascade Brewery.
On our second day in Hobart, we visited the Tasmania Museum, which is the second oldest museum in Australia and showcased interesting cultural, artistic and Antarctic treasures. Our adventures also took us for a walk along Salamanca Place and Arthur’s Circus which is a circle of old, tiny frontage cottages from the earliest days of Old Hobart Town.
Late afternoon, our cruise ship departed Hobart and we were all on deck to say goodbye to this beautiful city. Our last day at sea was to enjoy all the pleasures that cruising has to offer. The feature show – Epic Rock was not to be missed and of course lots more dancing at the farewell party.
Our cruise to Tassie was an adventure that everyone will treasure along with the beautiful friendships that were made.
