At Trusted Travel we love creating experiences for all types of travellers. From those that love to lounge around on the beach to the people who believe that food and culture is central to the travel experience. Then there’s the thrill-seekers… don’t worry, we love you too! That’s why we have put together a series of state by state guides to the most high-octane, hair-raising activities to be found.
This week we travel to three different corners of South Australia to bring you three activities sure to leave any adrenaline junkie satisfied.
If you missed last week’s article, have a read to see what thrills and spills North Queensland has to offer.
Cage Diving with Great White Sharks – Port Lincoln
Stare into the jaws of nature’s greatest predator! Port Lincoln is the only place in Australia you can reliably get in the cage and see these awesome beasts up close and personal.
Reputable tour operators such as Calypso and Rodney Fox offer experiences starting from a single day to week long expeditions. This one is truly one for the berley bucket list!

Sandboarding Little Sahara – Kangaroo Island
A curious area of sand dunes known as Little Sahara can be found on Kangaroo Island some 4km from the shore. So unique is this formation that it is classified as an Australian Heritage Geological Monument.
For family friendly yet adrenaline-pumping fun, get over to Little Sahara Adventure Centre, grab some sand boards and carve up the slopes. There are also toboggans available for the kids.
Just remember… red ones go faster!

Murray River Jet Ski Tour – Murray Bridge
The River Murray, greatest of the Australian rivers. Its catchment spans four states and its name alone evokes images of red dirt, pale eucalyptus and mighty paddle steamers. The only problem with the Murray so far as we can tell is that there’s just too much of it to see! So that means the only way to see as much as you can in a short time is to see it FAST!
In Murray Bridge South Australia you can take a guided jet ski tour or simply hire a ski and tour yourself up and down just a small stretch of our greatest waterway.
