Bringing together visual displays such as 360-degree projections and large-scale light art installations and virtual reality, the Vivid Festival illuminates Sydney’s unique icons in a truly spectacular way.

Our band of merry travellers were in high spirits when we checked in to our accommodation at the beautiful Darling Harbour. Our first activity was a Vivid dinner cruise which gave us stunning views of Sydney Harbour, Luna Park, the bridge and, of course, the Sydney Opera House, illuminated in all their glory. There was a surreal stillness as we stood atop our floating restaurant in the quiet waters of the world’s greatest harbour, snapping photos and taking in the beautiful sights.

Day two was packed with the action of some of Sydney’s best attractions, immersing ourselves first in the magic of the ocean at Sydney Aquarium before snapping photos with the stars at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

Pancakes for lunch? Don’t mind if I do. We followed our busy morning with lunch at iconic diner, Pancakes on The Rocks. With our sweet teeth satisfied, it was time for some well-earned relaxation time before more excitement in the evening.

That night, we were embarked on a journey to Taronga Park Zoo for a wonderful light experience inspired by the zoo’s animals. It included a ride on the Taronga gondola, which provided amazing panoramic views of the harbour and city lights.

After checking out on the final morning, we crossed the Pyrmont Bridge one last time to go to the top of the highest man-made structure in Sydney, the Sydney Eye, also known as Centrepoint Tower. Taking in views of the city below was an awesome way to end our trip, serving as a perfect reminder of just how lucky we were to have yet another wonderful Trusted Travel experience.
