Today’s avid traveller is one for the history books! An absolute gentleman on tour and one of the most enthusiastic and positive people you will come across on a Trusted Travel adventure – Meet the Mighty Mitch!

First thing’s first, do you have a travel nickname?

When I’m away with Trusted Travel, everyone calls me Mitchy.

What was the last holiday you went on?

I went to the north island of New Zealand.

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

I’ve got a few but I especially love Hawaii, Darwin and Cairns.

What’s one place you wish you could go and why?

I’d really love to go to Thailand and America. I love the people in those places as they’re all so warm, welcoming and non-judgemental.

What’s your favourite thing about travelling with Trusted Travel?

My favourite thing would be meeting new people on my trips. The trips are also well planned and reasonably priced.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

I like to think that I’m sociable and always willing to help others in life.

What advice would you have for someone travelling with a disability?

I have heaps of advice for someone travelling with a disability! Pre-plan for everything, go see your GP, take extra medication just in case. Make sure flights are connected and all on the same ticket, checking in and running between the gates can get really tiring. Also remember that not every country caters for people with disabilities so do your research beforehand.

Any final words of wisdom?

The most important thing about a holiday is to have fun so don’t get too stressed. Stay calm and enjoy yourself.
