Our boys weekend got rolling by leaving Sydney and heading to Bankstown Sports Club to have a train inspired lunch at Greenfield Bistro.
We introduced ourselves and were very excited to leave for Trip.
After lunch we drove to our beautiful accommodation At Robbin Hill Manor located in the lovely Southern Highlands.
Situated in Moss Vale in the New South Wales region, Robin Hill Manor – a rambling retreat & tennis court has a balcony and garden views.
On Saturday we made our way down to Goulburn. Goulburn is a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. We had a Fantastic Lunch at the Southern Railway Hotel where we all chatted and sat near the wood fire. After Lunch we headed to the Goulburn Rail Heritage Museum.
The Rail Heritage Museum and restoration centre, includes a roundhouse and turntable, a large 130-year-old workshop building and ancillary buildings. Restoration of heritage rolling stock is carried out at the Roundhouse.
Goulburn Locomotive Roundhouse is the largest heritage based operating roundhouse in NSW.
After we went for a drive to Rocky Hill War memorial opened in 1925 to commemorate the men and women of Goulburn who served during World War.
On Sunday morning we headed to The NSW Rail Museum, located in Thirlmere.
The museum houses the biggest rolling stock collections in Australia. A significant portion have been refurbished over the years to return the machinery into their former glory. We went for beautiful ride on the 3265 Steam train ride to Buxton return.
On the way back to Sydney on the final day we went to Berrima Courthouse. Berrima Courthouse was first chosen in 1834, taking another 3 years to complete construction. Built of hand-hewn sandstone in Regency style, the Courthouse was used to convict criminals through to 1900 and saw crimes from cattle steeling through to notorious bushrangers and murderers.
After we said our good-byes we were all excited for our next Trusted Travel trip away
