Day 1

After singing songs in the van all the way to Sydney Overseas international cruise terminal, we checked our bags in with the staff and cleared our boarding passes ready to board the Carnival Splendour.

The ship left right on time, and we passed two of the world’s most famous landmarks – the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, both perfectly situated on the magnificent harbour.

Afterwards, we made our way to the main dining area and enjoyed a variety of international foods. The cakes were to die for!

Then we made our way to the main show theatre to check out the welcome aboard show. The lovely cruise director and team let us know the plans for the cruise to come.

After a long day exploring the ship, we headed back to our cabins for a big sleep ready for the week to fun to come!

Day Two

We woke up bright and early to grab a big feed from the huge breakfast buffet upstairs. As we ate, we discussed our big plans for today at sea.

We checked out all the gift shops, pool areas, restaurants, and beautiful sights outside.

There were many games, live music, and activities across the ship.

We had dinner at the dining hall the evening where we met our beautiful waiters. The food was amazing and if you didn’t love the variety of food there was always a chicken schnitzel ready to order.

After dinner we headed to the main show of the night where the singers involved the crowd and became a huge singalong. The show ended and the group were not tired, so we headed to the comedy club which was on every night!

The Funny LA comic had everyone in stitches laughing all the way back to the cabins for some rest as we were getting off at Moreton Island the next day.

Day Three

With an early wakeup call we went straight up to the top deck to see the beautiful view of Moreton Island on one side and Brisbane city on the other side.

Breakfast in the buffet and a quick sprint back to rooms to change into swimmers and grab towels and hats. We were lucky to be the first onto the tenders. We were welcomed to Moreton Island with a scenic view the ride over spotting some turtles and fish.

On Moreton Island we walked around looking at the sites to see waiting for our dolphin experience we grabbed lunch and went for a swim in the warm blue ocean.

It was time for the dolphin feeding and we learnt about the history of the family of 12 dolphins that come back to the Jetty every night. Our travellers had a blast feeding the dolphins and experiencing something

 so magical.

We headed back to the boat watching the sun go down. A big feed at the Buffet after a long day. We watched another comedy show then to bed.

Day Four

Final day at sea we had a little sleep in. We had Breakfast at the dining hall with mouth-watering pancakes and coffee.

As there were so many activities to do on the final day, we split up to concur everything from everyone. Starting at the gym working up a sweat, playing trivia and just relaxing by the poolside listening to live music. We sat up on the top deck watching the water while eating lunch and had a relaxing afternoon listening to more music before getting ready for our last dinner all together.

The Final show after dinner was full of music and dance was a fantastic night getting to sing along the all the classic music. We headed to the piano bar for some more classics and fun. The night ended on a high. As we had a busy next day heading home.

Home Sweet Home

After our big 4 days it was time to get off the ship. We all had a fantastic time and did not want to leave. The Carnival staff were so helpful and friendly to us all. We collected our bags and headed back to the Disability Trust head office in Wollongong. On the way back we all had a chat and laugh about the cruise and are looking forward to our next Trusted Travel trips to come!
