The first day of our 2022 grand final getaway involved everyone getting to know each other and plenty of footy stories and banter!
It was clear from day one we had a great group of travellers who seemed to click right away.
We arrived at our amazing motel, directly across from Accor stadium and immediately immersed ourselves in the grand final atmosphere!
After getting settled we stepped out to grab some dinner. Olympic Park was already buzzing, with concerts, athletes and people enjoying the build up to the big game.
Next day , game day. We were all lucky enough to meet some nrl greats and take in some of the attractions of Sydney Olympic park.
That afternoon everyone was keen to start off with the women’s grand final, with Accor stadium quickly nearing capacity!
Later in the day we watched the Penrith panthers beat the Parramatta eels with about 82,000 others, what an experience!
At half time we were treated to Jimmy Barnes rocking the place, so awesome!!
Our last full day of activities saw our group enjoy a sunny ferry ride from Parramatta wharf to circular quay. We stored through the rocks and enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of the historic pubs. Later that day we wrapped things up with some indoor go-karting!
