Lights, camera, action, Home and Away, here we come!

Our excited group left Wollongong with lots of chatting of the latest capers happening on Home and Away. We spent our first afternoon in the Chinese Garden of Friendship with its cool lagoons and large colourful fish and waterfalls. It was an idyllic spot to start our adventure. We had a few big days ahead of us so checking into the hotel and having an afternoon of rest was on the cards for our first day of adventure.

On our second day we headed to Palm Beach to experience what we were all there for – The Home and Away tour! The beach was a stunning location for the famous TV series with amazing views of the upper Sydney and Central Coast coastline. It was high excitement for our travellers being able to walk around the Summer Bay Surf Club, Alf’s Bait Shop and the famous pier. We felt like superstars having lunch at the Home and Away’s Boat House.

The highlight of our Home and Away Tour was our meet and greet with “Robbo” – Jake Ryan. He shared lots of secrets and amazing stories about the making of the TV series but we’ll never tell!

Our third day took us to Bondi. Famous for the iconic TV series, Bondi Rescue, and the artistic murals sprayed along the beach sea wall, a yummy lunch was had by all. Where? Where else but the famous Bondi Pavilion! Our third day was a day full of happy snaps and happy travellers.

On our last day, we headed to the Australian National Maritime Museum. The museum has one of the largest and diverse water fleets in the world including the stunning replica of Captain Cook’s tall ship HMS Endeavour. The Museum is definitely on our “recommended” list for things to do in Sydney.

It was an amazing week of sightseeing, laughter and fun – We can’t wait to go back next time. Thanks, Sydney for putting on a show for us!
