Sydney as always, welcomed us with unlimited sightseeing and delicious food. Trusted Travel acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation as the continuing custodians of the lands we visited. Our first stop from the airport was The Secret Garden at the Grounds of Alexandria. We got to wander past the ever-growing wisteria, vibrant flowers and be enchanted by the picture perfect settings. Our meal at the café was the start of many delicious meals to come.
Our hotel was on beautiful and lively Darling Harbour with incredible views, both day and night. The location was perfect for our first dinner on the harbour by the water at Olivo.
On our second day, we dropped in at the National Maritime Museum and felt like pirates for a few hours, particularly when we were exploring The Endeavour tall ship.
Next was the show of a life time – Hamilton at the Lyric Theatre. Hamilton was extraordinary, with every dance move sharp as a tack and the constantly shifting stage a whirlwind of activity. Seeing it all click together like a precision-built Swiss watch was mesmerising. The energetic R&B, hip hop and rap ensembles, such as “My Shot” kept us on the edge of our seat. The show was truly amazing. It was “Non-Stop” lights and action and we left “Satisfied”, “Helpless” to the shows charms!
That evening we strolled and were in awe of the new Darling Quarter. Tonight, we had the wonderful experience of visiting The Chinese Gardens of Friendship by night to experience Nature Illuminated. It was a magical journey through the gardens with soundscapes of violins and cellos and mesmerising light displays.
Last day and we got to have another yummy buffet breakfast at the hotel. Yes – Brekky buffet is back!! Today we jumped on the iconic green and gold Sydney ferry from Pyrmont Bay to Circular Quay. It’s one of the best ways to experience the beauty of Sydney Harbour and so we sailed under the Harbour bridge and past the Opera house. At Circular Quay we strolled and explored many more spots, like Customs House and the Toaster.
Our last lunch was lots of laughs together and already reminiscing of the incredible show, Hamilton was. We also talked and dreamed about future Trusted Travel trips we could on, very very soon. So it wasn’t Goodbye, it was – Till we meet again!!!
