A sparkling Queensland day greeted us on the first morning of our Gold Coast Explorer trip, with our intrepid travellers ready for an action and education packed day at Sea World.

There, we immersed ourselves in the magic of the world’s oceans. Highlights were the rides, sea lion show, polar bears, meeting Nickelodeon characters and the world famous dolphin show. Biggest, tallest, fastest rollercoaster in the Southern Hemisphere? No worries. Not for some of our brave travellers anyway.

On day 2, those who had the nerves and the stomachs, took the DC Heroes Hypercoaster at Warner Brother’s Movie World head on. Not to mention an array of other terrifying thrill rides. For others looking for a more relaxed day, we enjoyed Merry Go Rounds, live shows and meeting some of our favourite characters including many superheroes, villains and, of course, the Looney Toons.  The epic feed at the Oxenford Hotel that evening was also a highlight.

We rounded out the trip by slipping on our rash vests, slopping on some sunscreen and slapping on hats. That’s right, Day 3 was Wet n’ Wild!

Wet n’ Wild is a water based amusement park with something for every speed. Whether that be vertical freefall waterslides, chilling by the wave pool or something in between. What an unreal experience we all had, with big smiles on our faces and stories to tell as we met up with our friends, families and carers.
