Our group had an absolute blast of a time exploring all that Cairns has to offer – where the rainforest meets the reef.
We landed at Cairns Airport and made our way to our accommodation in the heart of Cairns. We spent some time getting to know each other and excitedly discussing the next several days! We decided to head out to the nearby Cock and Bull Bar and Grill where we filled our tummies and marvelled at an amazing display of large shark and sea animal displays. That night and into the next morning, we experienced true tropical weather with heavy rain. The group actually loved the warm water falling.
Our next adventure, we took our amazing group to the Cairns Aquarium where we marvelled at displays of tropical marine life including reef sharks and a school of colour-changing jelly fish!
Next on the list took us on a sea catamaran to Green Island, a tropical wonderland with white sandy secluded beaches and glass bottom boats. We were blessed with lovely weather after all the rain and plenty of sea life. As if they knew Trusted Travel were coming, at the end of the day, we were farewelled by a reef shark and a large turtle. Wait, did the turtle actually wave at us?
We spent our last full day in Cairns at Hartley’s Croc Park. Wow! What an amazing experience. Our group were blown away by the croc feeding shows and croc boat cruise; we even got to cuddle a real koala! We soaked in the rainforest and picturesque coast line on the drive back stopping at several look outs.
The next day we packed our bags and farewelled Cairns, with our group promising to return!
We safely made our way back to our loved ones, what an amazing trip!
