As we packed the bus and said our goodbyes, the Home and Away music playlist ready to go, we set off on our adventure. Through our love of music,  connections were forming with our new friends.

We arrived at Darling Aquare just before lunch and found a small quiet café with delicious food. As we sat down to lunch, we discussed our favourite Home and Away characters and found out that we all had a love for dogs!

After lunch, we explored the beautiful Darling Harbour when we happened upon the Chinese Garden of Friendship – Fitting for the friendships we were about to form.

We spent a wonderful time in the garden listening to the waterfall and watching the lizards run across the path. The rest of the afternoon was time to chill out and enjoy the beautiful sights of Darling Harbour, talking about whether or not we’d end up in an episode of Home and Away.

After freshening up at the Ibis Hotel, we headed down to Rashays for dinner. We enjoyed discussing what happened on Home and Away last night and a yummy feed before rushing home for yet another thrilling episode of Home and Away.

With breakfast in our bellies and the Home and Away theme song on, we set off on our next adventure to Mona Vale. We jumped off the bus to enjoy the beautiful beach scenery before we had a picnic lunch with our private Home and Away tour guide, Tania.

Tania showed us around the beautiful homes of our favourite Home and Away characters and with the excitement building, we finally arrived in Summer Bay!

We spent the rest of the day exploring the beautiful sights of Summer Bay, or Palm Beach for those who aren’t megafans like us, and sharing our favourite scenes filmed at the Bait Shop, Surf Club, the beach and the pool.

As we said our goodbyes, we were all guessing who our secret celebrity meet and greet will be with tomorrow.

With so much excitement in the air we started the day with a yummy breakfast before heading to Centennial Park.

Once finding a shady table under a tree, the anticipation built as we were only minutes away from meeting a secret celebrity! As we were waiting, Tim Franklin aka “Colby” jumped out of the bushes! Some of us instantly fell in love with him!

It was a perfect morning, Tim sharing all his secrets, signing our new Home and Away merchandise and getting photos with the man of the hour.

After saying our goodbyes to Tim, we hit the road again but this time heading to Bondi!

It was a busy day at the beautiful Bondi beach. Along the beach are spectacular art works, great for a candid snap. We were lucky enough to meet a Bondi Lifeguard.

One of our final stops before heading hotel was a swim in the picturesque Bronte Baths.

After a fun full day we enjoyed a beautiful meal at the Watershed along the Darling Harbour. With the sun setting and the lights of The Star turning on, we shared our favourite moments of the trip before bed.

Our final day today… As we packed the van, we said our goodbyes to the wonderful hotel staff and said thank you for our “home away from home.” One last stop was in order though – The world famous Paddy’s Market!  It was a great opportunity to treat ourselves to something special.

After a filling lunch we said goodbye to Darling Harbour and began our journey home. Although we were sad to say goodbye to our new friends… We were getting so excited to see our family and friends and share with them all the excitements of the holiday!
