Blooming into the spring season, Australia’s very own capital city Canberra blossomed its way out of the winter months with divine weather and a fresh abuzz of excitement and anticipation for the upcoming adventure ahead.

Our eager travellers had spent their first evening getting to know each other as well as mingling and connecting with the Northside Recreation Group – which was so much fun!

On the first day, our group embarked to the National Zoo and Aquarium, which had a wide variety of native and exotic animals from across the globe. We even got to get up and close to animals like tigers and koalas for a snapshot to mark as a memory of our visit to the zoo. For lunch, we went to National Arboretum, with its mosaic of living forests and gardens and a breathtaking view across the ACT region.

Our second day, we ventured into the delightful and fascinating displays at Cockington Green, an enchanting world of tiny people and tiny structures set in the most beautiful surrounding teagardens. We even boarded the miniature train and got a behind the scenes look into what the quaint gardens have to offer.

We visited all the iconic sights, including Questacon, Parliament House and the National Museum of Australia and of course tiptoed our way through the tulips of Floriade.

We thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing and we were beyond happy that we had made new friends along the way.
