Roll up… Roll up… All aboard for the Easter Show Extravaganza! We met our friends and hit the road for a jam-packed few days away. First stop we headed off to DFO Homebush for a spot of shopping and a yummy lunch. Once we shopped to our hearts were content, we went to our accommodation to settle into our rooms and check out the hotel. After some down time, we got ready to go out for dinner.
The next morning, we got our walking shoes on and headed off to breakfast in our hotel, fuelling our bellies for a massive fun filled day ahead! It was the Easter Show day today – Yay! We were so excited with all the fun activities, soooo many to mention and the show bags were a massive hit all round. After a long exhausting day of fun, we headed back for a rest before we made our way out for dinner. BUT! The fun was far from over… We celebrated one of our birthdays with yummy cake and, of course, we sang happy birthday and hip hip hooray. What a special night.
We packed our bags and loaded the bus with all of our show bags, had our last breakfast together as a group before we parted ways. Today one group enjoyed a ferry ride from Olympic Park to Circular Quay for the day, taking in all the sights the beautiful harbour has to offer. One group went to the aquatic centre for a splash and fun in the water. After a refreshing swim and stunning ferry ride, we headed on a little road trip back home, checked out the Sea Cliff Bridge on the way through and finished up with a lunch at Thirroul Beach Pavilion overlooking the beautiful beach on such a glorious day.
After our fun filled adventure, we headed home to our loved ones and said goodbye to our friends until next time. Thanks for an egg-cellent time!
