It was a rainy and gloomy morning but our spirits were high and we were keen to get on the road. After farewelling our families and friends, we travelled around Wollongong and explored the harbour and lighthouse. We made our way to C1 Speed in Albion Park Rail for some Laser Tag – What a blast! – congratulations red team on the victory!

After lunch, we stopped into the shops to pick up some food for dinner and buy a few items for the guys. We finished the day by hanging out in the house watching footy and cooking and eating homemade pizzas.

Despite the rain, we headed out to Nowra Tree Top Adventure Park, where we had an awesome time. The rain held off for most of the adventure, allowing us all to swing amongst the trees. Once we were done, we had lunch in Nowra, where we also stocked up on food to have a sausage sizzle for dinner. The guys loved being able to have a BBQ while watching their favourite teams play footy. The adrenalin was high.

On Sunday, we went to Jamberoo Action Park for a couple of hours. When it came to the waterslides, suddenly everything was a race! Unfortunately, the rain prevented us racing down Jamberoo Mountain on the taboggans as well, but we still got to go on the Taipan and Funnel Web, both water rides. Hey, if we’re gonna get wet, we may as well do it right.

We grabbed some burgers, chips and calamari for dinner, and went home to get out of the weather and watch some movies and footy as a group for our last night together.

Monday and it was still raining! Still, some of the best holidays are made by rainy weather. We drove out to The Famous Berry Donut Van to enjoy some hot donuts for morning tea – these tasted even better in the cold and rainy weather!! After donuts, we meandered up the coast to the Kiama Blowhole – The rainy weather took the water chutes to the next level.

After that excitement, we went again to C1 Speed in Albion Park to have a turn at the go-karts this time. It was an adrenalin adventure after all so what did the guys do? They raced of course!

We had our final lunch together and what better than nachos on a day like today! Some last minute shopping and we were on our way to meet up with families and friends back at Trusted Travel HQ at Edney Lane.
