After arriving in the beautiful city of Adelaide we started our adventure by exploring the beauty of city’s historic buildings and facades. We wandered around looking at the old sandstone buildings, including the Adelaide Arcade, and took in the beautiful architecture the city has to offer. After dinner, we settled into our hotel rooms awaiting our adventure the following day on the Murray Princess.

It was definitely worth the wait – We boarded the gorgeous old paddle boat with a warm welcome by the wonderful captain and crew, and set sail. The scenery was just beautiful with the most perfect weather for all to enjoy. After 3 nights of total relaxation watching the wildlife along the river, we checked back into our hotel, to explore the Adelaide City and spent a day exploring the largest open zoo in the World, Monarto Safari Park.

We visited Adelaide Gaol, one of the oldest remaining colonial public buildings in Adelaide, and the site of some of South Australia’s most grisly history. Once we got “out of gaol” (pun intended), we jumped on a tram and checked out the Central Market Arcade. We experienced many different foods and cuisines with a progressive lunch, everyone enjoyed trying the different meals on offer.

Our last night together was celebrated with our final dinner and some cake – We had two birthdays on the trip to celebrate after all!

After a yummy breakfast, we packed our bags, travelled to the airport and said goodbye to our new friends, awaiting our next exciting adventure.
