The wet weather did not dampen our spirits on our Farm Stay holiday at Mowbray Park Farm. We packed our gumboots, prepared for anything the weather could throw at us! The pigs certainly didn’t mind the mud!
We fed and visited the alpacas, pigs, rabbits, donkeys, Guinea pigs, sheep and chickens. We even got to have a little snuggle with the teeny newborn chicks! They were so CUTE!
Everyone enjoyed making dough boys which we roasted on the open fire, then filled with syrup for a tasty, traditional camp-out treat. It was sticky business but so fun and so yum!!! Everyone tested out their Robin Hood talents with some archery and when the weather got too wet, we bunkered down in our cabin for some card games and cooking.
The tractor ride down to the milking sheds was fun and everyone had a try at milking the cows. Cheeky Archie the farm dog was quick to lick up the milk we’d collected in the bucket. Archie even popped into our cabin for the occasional visit and quickly became everyone’s friend.
We really enjoyed our taste of farm life at Mowbray Park Farm. Blair and the other farmers really looked after our group and Trusted Travel will definitely be back another time.
