On a lovely Tuesday morning our holiday began. It was time to spoil ourselves with every attention, comfort, and kindness we could find. We headed off down the coast to lovely Kiama which had just recently been just voted the best small town in NSW.

We went to the blowhole to see it in action. A nice clam sea meant that the blowhole wasn’t exactly pumping but that seemed quite fitting for a trip that was all about serene relaxation. Then the group walked to Kiama Inn, an historic country hotel with a bistro style menu for a lovely lunch.

In the afternoon we arrived at our gorgeous modern beach style home for our stay in Vincentia and unpacked our bags and settled in. Then off again for a drive around

the local area to see the most beautiful white sand beaches and breathtaking

lookouts. We had a quick look around the shops at Vincentia and then off to the

famous Husky Pub for a delicious dinner. As the sun was setting we had sweeping

views over Jervis Bay.

Wednesday was our big pamper day. After spoiling ourselves with a sleep in, we started with a lazy cooked breakfast and then our beauty therapist arrived at the house to give the girls their beauty treatments. They enjoyed gourmet nibblies while waiting their turn before a light lunch at the Coffee Guru.

In the afternoon some retail therapy was enjoyed and then we went to the Bay and

Basin Indoor Leisure Centre for some relaxing floating in the warm heated waters.

Dinner was at the busy Huskisson RSL Club which also has stunning views over

Currambene Creek inlet and Jervis Bay.

Thursday brought yet more amazing food with breakfast at the 5 Pigs Café in the

centre of Huskisson shopping area. We all had pancakes and we agreed that these

were the best pancakes we had ever had!

Mid-morning saw us cruising through the clear turquoise waters of the Jervis Bay

Marine Park to spot the resident Bottlenose Dolphins. After about an hour of

searching and when we all thought we were going to have to give up they were

finally spotted off Hyams beach. They raced and played at the front of the ship

for a short time then took off when the boom was lowered for some of the passengers to lay on as the boat travelled slowly along.

In the afternoon, we ventured out to Greenwell Point and the Pelican Rocks Café [awarded best fish and chips in Australia 2019 and best in NSW in 2017, 2018, 2019 by wotif] for some of the locally caught fish and chips.

Friday, we packed our bags and headed home, but first one last delicious meal on

the wharf at Huskisson at the Portside Café. The staff at the café were so helpful

and lovely.

We went to Kimberley Stud Farm for some horse time. The girls walked

the horses, brushed and fed the horses. Such a calm peaceful pastime and was

enjoyed by all (especially the horses).

One last stop was at the winery at Cambewarra just north of Nowra for a late lunch.

We listened to soft music as we ate our lunch overlooking the vines on the hillside.

What a great week of food, pampering and great company!!!
