Everyone knows Melbourne is the best place for bargain shopping. With Christmas stockings to fill (or treat yourself and fill you own stocking) this shopping trip has got your Christmas gift buying covered! Shop till you drop at the Queen Victoria Markets. Wander the secret alleys filled with incredible street art and specialty shops and find yourself some treasures.
Spend a morning in waterside Docklands, here you can also find yourself a bargain and have a bunch of fun at the interactive Artvo gallery where you become part of the art!
Melbourne holds a grand Christmas Festival starting in November and marking the beginning of preparations for the holiday. Magic awaits you at many venues, including the City Square Plaza, Melbourne Town Hall, and Federation Square. For a truly magical experience, wander down Swanston Street to view Christmas animations at State Library Victoria and static projections on Melbourne Town Hall and Princes Bridge.
Federation Square is the central place of the holiday where a Christmas tree is put up every year and where theatrical musical performances take place. Christmas wonderland at Fed Square also lures visitors to Sky Castle – an interactive sound-and-light installation of inflatable arches that bring colourful symphony across the square.

Day 1
Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. Get to know your fellow Christmas elves on your journey to Melbourne. On arrival, everyone will hop aboard the star bus from the airport bound for our accommodation. We’ll check in, get settled and relax a little before heading out for dinner in the city. The Christmas spirit will be alive in the city at night.
Day 2
Get ready for some serous shopping today! With many outlets only a tram hop away and so many different, quirky shops to discover, you’re sure to find a special gift or two along the way. Whether it be for someone special or a treat for you! Gotta treat yourself after all! Melbourne is famous for it’s eye-catching street art, which makes for the perfect holiday snap backdrop while you mosey the historical streets and browse the shops.
Day 3
Today we’ll enjoy a relaxed morning and the facilities at the hotel. Once we’re recharged, we will hop on the tram to Docklands. In Docklands we will visit ArtVo! ArtVo is a gallery of wall size paintings. So big that you can get in the picture! Sit in the hand of King Kong or fight a dragon! It’s such a fun activity and the photos look out of this world! There is also outlet shopping in Docklands for anyone still keen to check out a bargain.
Day 4
Queen Victoria Markets are a must while in Melbourne. With rows and rows of market goods, delicious street food and entertainment from the buskers it’s a great way to spend the day. This evening we will join in the Christmas fun at the Christmas Festival in the city.
Day 5
Time to pack up your Santa sacks and make your journey home. You’ll be full of Christmas spirit on arrival back home where you’ll be greeted by your family and friends.

Unfortunately, where increased risks indicate the best course of action at that time is to cancel plans for travel, Trusted Travel may need to cancel a group holiday prior to departure. The health, wellbeing and safety of our participants and the enjoyment of travelling on holidays without extra stress are of the upmost importance. If this decision is made, we will notify affected travellers as soon as possible.
Trusted Travel will not charge any cancellation fees or charges where the change has been deemed required by our Travel Consultants. Anything already paid by the participant in this instance will be offered as a full refund or credit for a future holiday.
