Tis the season to be jolly!! Christmas is upon us for another year and to get into the mood Trusted Travel are whisking you away to the Hunter for a few days of festive treats and fun times!

The Hunter Valley Gardens host a Christmas Light Spectacular and this year is set to be bigger and brighter than ever! With over 3 million lights set up for a dramatic light display, the Gardens have themed areas of delight and wonder for us to enjoy.

We will also be getting involved in a candy making class where we will get our hands sticky and lips smacking for some delicious treats!

The Hunter region has some fantastic and world-famous wineries and we are going to spend the day tasting the wine – non-alcoholic versions also available and the food that the region specialises in. we will visit a few of the wineries – enjoying some live music and entertainment throughout the day!

This is a short break not to miss just before Christmas – it will get you in the Christmas spirit and give you the opportunity to grab some gifts for your loved ones as well!

We understand that not everyone lives near the departure location. If you need assistance getting to and from the meeting point, please contact our friendly Trusted Travel Consultants. They’ll happily give you some helpful tips on how to get from point A to point B.

Day 1

Our staff will be ready to welcome you at the departure point, farewell your families and friends and start the adventure. We will hit the road and spend some time in Maitland at the Levee. We can wander the shops, grab a bite and maybe pick up some Chrissy presents. We will also explore the sculptural exhibitions while we take a stroll along the Hunter River.Then its off to the Hunter Valley and check into our rooms and settle in.We will have dinner together and take some time getting to know each other.

 

Day 2

Today will find us enjoying the morning on a farm – petting and feeding the farm animals, exploring the kitchen gardens, enjoying the atmosphere on the farm and the local produce with a scrumptious lunch! Then it’s candy time – we will be making our own candy! From Rocky road to marshmallows, we can enjoy making and eating and have some recipes to take away with us as well!! If you don’t eat all you have made – you could wrap them up for a loved one’s Christmas gift!

 

Day 3

After breakfast together, we will be making our way to the Hunter Valley Gardens today, we will spend the day exploring the acres of fabulous gardens, mazes and exhibitions that are on display for the Christmas Festival. When the sun goes down – the lights come on! With over 3 million lights this is the biggest Christmas light display in the Southern Hemisphere. With different themed areas to explore, we have the night to enjoy this magical spectacle of lights!

Day 4

After a leisurely breakfast we will make our way to a few of the area’s fantastic wineries. The Hunter region is famous around the world for its wines, and the wineries have great local food to enjoy and wines to try. Some wineries have non-alcoholic tastings, and activities and live bands to enjoy as well. This will be a great day out together!We will enjoy our last night together in one of the great restaurants in the local area and then take a drive around the suburbs to see the locals Christmas lights displays.

 

Day 5

This morning we will pack our things, check out and begin our road trip back to Sydney and beyond. On the way back, we will stop off for some fish and chips and our final meal together! What a week we have had – some Christmas cheer to get us ready for the big event later in the month! Merry Christmas Trusted Travellers!

Unfortunately, where increased risks indicate the best course of action at that time is to cancel plans for travel, Trusted Travel may need to cancel a group holiday prior to departure. The health, wellbeing and safety of our participants and the enjoyment of travelling on holidays without extra stress are of the upmost importance. If this decision is made, we will notify affected travellers as soon as possible.

Trusted Travel will not charge any cancellation fees or charges where the change has been deemed required by our Travel Consultants. Anything already paid by the participant in this instance will be offered as a full refund or credit for a future holiday.
